nel. Restaurant would definitely have made my list of top 5 eats of 2016 – if only I’d gotten round to putting up this post before the end of the year!
Classico Moderno is an Italian pop-up restaurant currently located in Darlinghurst, set up by Italian chef Bryan Gerlini. You may know that name in connection with Darlinghurst’s most loved pop-up restaurant to date – Cafe Paci. Apparently he did a stint there! However, don’t expect the food to be anything like Cafe Paci’s. It’s an Italian restaurant and well, everything about it is very…Italian.
Excited to share with you one of the most enjoyable meals I’ve had in a long time – at Saint Peter in Paddington. I do eat out quite a bit and mostly I come away from meals going, yeah, that was pretty good. But after dining at Saint Peter I was literally like – WOW! I can’t wait to go there again! Everything was so good!
Broadsheet Restaurant – here for a good time, not a long time!
Acre is supposed the new ‘Grounds of Alexandria’ but in Camperdown. Don’t get me wrong – I like the Grounds, but I hardly ever go because the parking is atrocious, it’s always ridiculously packed and you always have to queue. So while it’s nice when I’m there, the thought of braving all of the above often scares me away from the place. I was bracing myself for the same kind of thing at Acre but was pleasantly surprised!
Nearly three years ago, JL and I first stepped into the original Yardbird in Sheung Wan, Hong Kong. It was an incredible experience, dining at the bar and checking out all the action happening around us. So when I heard Yardbird were popping up in Sydney, I was super excited and couldn’t wait to show DS what it was all about!
Shame they are only popping up for a night…but here’s what we ate.
