I’m probably the only food blogger who hasn’t been to all the cool new restaurants in Kensington Street and Spice Alley…it’s always been a little daunting for me – if I go, I will want to eat at all the places all at once and obviously that’s not possible. So maybe just don’t go. Until I was luckily invited to Bar Chinois a few weeks back to try their food and drinks, finally I was able to go with a particular purpose, but also see everything that’s been happening over there.
It’s not every day that you get invited to eat at a restaurant that has been endorsed by the first female Thai Prime Minister herself!
Please, do allow the mysterious Mr Tipply to take you on a post-work journey of eating and drinks (and maybe dancing the night away, if that’s your thing).
There’s something super appealing about the kitschy-ness of cocktails served in bubble-tea containers, fat straw and plastic lid included. And what’s that? – the pearls/sago balls are included too?! Winning all round. A group of four of us headed over to Ms G’s in Potts Point for a good feed of Asian fusion food – click through to see the rest of our meal…
